MiniGrid is a Toronto-based retailer that sells Slot Cars, Slot Car Tracks, Models, and general racing enthusiast products.
Owned by professional race car driver (yeah, really!) Scott Maxwell, the store had an outdated website with a very old Zen Cart e-commerce installation. Sales from their online store were disappointing at best.
The browsing experience and, even more critically, the checkout process were clumsy and confusing. Many orders were abandoned because visitors did not understand how to order online from MiniGrid.
We migrated products, orders and customers from their Zen Cart installation to a WooCommerce/WordPress platform.
With their new WooCommerce/WordPress site, they can now receive orders, including shipping and track their customer’s experiences. Even junior staff can easily add or alter the many products they carry.
Migrating from a Zen Cart store to WooCommerce does take a bit of work, but offers high ROI, flexibility and ease of use.
